August 6, 13, 20, 27: Learn the basics of programming code through shareable animation, storytelling, and gaming projects using the programming language Scratch at the Central branch of the Boston Public Library.
August 6, 13: Learn about circuits, craft, and play with technology at the HATCH Makerspace in Watertown. (Ages 8+)
August 8: Preview the Summer Camp Game Coding and Designing programs at Microsoft’s store on Bolyston St. in Boston. Free class. (Grades K-12 plus parents)
August 8: Create things that fly at the Newton Free Library. (Grades K-5)
August 8, 9: Attend Boston Fab Fest, a weekend that includes exhibitions, demonstrations, live performances, and hands-on activities about technology, innovation, and the Maker Movement. Free and open to all ages.
August 10: Join in super science experiments at the Frances Perkins branch of the Worcester Public Library. (Ages 5-12)
August 10, 11, 12, 13: Learn to code at Microsoft’s Youthspark coding camp at the Microsoft store on Bolyston St. in Boston. Free classes for beginners. (Ages 8-10)
