It’s time to register for MIT Spark! Spark is a weekend-long learning extravaganza for students in grades 7-10, featuring over 100 classes on diverse and fun topics taught by MIT students and community members on MIT’s campus. New this year! In the past, Spark was for 7th and 8th-grade students, and it’s expanded to include 9th and 10th-grade students! The MIT team told me that wanted the program to be accessible to more students, and there was also interest from teachers in teaching classes for this grade range.
Register now! This program runs on March 16-17, 2024.
Here’s a Sample of This Year’s Courses:
- Sensory Safari: A Brain Exploration
- Geometry and Beauty of Soap Bubbles
- Hanabi
- History of “Mario Kart:” Beginnings and Premodern
- The Strongest Force in the Universe
- Intro to Puzzlehunts
- Boba 101: How to Make Boba!
and many, many more! Come to learn just about anything for a weekend on the MIT campus!
Registration Details:
Register online and submit your class preferences by 11:59PM EDT on Tuesday, March 5. The first phase of registration is a class lottery where everyone has an equal chance to get classes.
