November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29: Hands-on engineering and design at the MIT Museum (Cambridge). Free with Museum admission. (Ages 12+)
November 2: Celebrate Empow Studio’s 1-year birthday at a free technology event (Lexington). Open to all ages.
November 3: Design video games with Scratch at the Peabody Institute Library. (Ages 9-13)
November 3, 10, 17, 24: STEAM activities at the Seekonk Public Library. (Grades 3-8)
November 4 (Election Day) and 11 (Veteran’s Day): All day programming at Einstein’s Workshop (Burlington). Cost: $120/day. (Grades 1-8)
November 4, 11 and 18th: Improve your math skills at the Dudley branch of the Boston Public Library (Roxbury). (Pre-K through algebra)
November 5: Math & Science story time at the Beverly Public Library. (Ages 4-6)
November 5: Design a robot at Robots on the Run at the Swampscott Public Library. (Grades 5-12)
November 5, 12, 19: STEAM projects for homeschoolers at the Bellingham Public Library. (Ages 6-12)
November 6: STEAM projects, like making rubber band cars, at the Bellingham Public Library. (Ages 6-12)
November 6: Learn Scratch, a free programming language, at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 3-6)
November 6: Science and Astronomy Club at the Beverly Public Library. (Grades 1-5)
November 7: Concoct and eat your own experiments at Edible Science at the Wellesley Free Library. (6th-8th grade)
November 7, 14, 21: Learn how to build an app and design a video game at Girls Who Code Club at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 6-12)
November 8: Learn to design your own game at the Young Game Makers event at Microsoft’s Nerd Center (Cambridge). Cost: $10/session. (Ages 6-13)
November 8: Join in science-themed activities at Girls Day at the MIT Museum (Cambridge).
November 10: 3D printing design class at the Peabody Institute Library. (Ages 9-13)
November 11 (Veteran’s Day): Participate in video game design, animation and LEGO Robotics at Empow Studio’s NanoCamp (Lexington). Cost: $95. (Grades 2-8)
November 12: Hands-on science experiments at the Faneuil branch of the Boston Public Library. (Ages 4-10)
November 12: Magnet fun! Come experiment and play with magnets at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 3-6).
November 14: Advanced Scratch programming at the Morse Institute Library (Natick). (Ages 11-18)
November 18: Math + Stories at the Cary Memorial Library (Lexington). A fun, casual, math themed storytime. (Ages 4-5)
November 19: Have fun with hands-on, daring science experiments for young scientists at the Cary Memorial Library (Lexington). (Grades 4-6)
November 23: Math Day with MITxplore at the MIT Museum (Cambridge). Free for students.
November 24: Design 3D objects using free computer aided design software and print them on the library’s new 3D printer at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 6-12)
November 28: 17th annual Friday After Thanksgiving: Chain Reaction at MIT (Cambridge). Cost: Spectator fee (Adult: $15, Ages 5-17: $5, Under 5: free)
