December 2, 16: Join in inquiry based, hands-on science experiments for young learners at the Faneuil branch of the Boston Public Library. (Ages 0-12)
December 2, 9, 16, 30, : Attend a Superhero STEM Adventure with Girl Scouts at the Frances Perkins branch of the Worcester Public Library.
December 2: Learn to code with Scratch at the Wellesley Free Library. (Grades 2-5 and 6-8)
December 3: Weekly Girls Who Code club at the Waltham Public Library. (Grades 6-12)

December 5: Learn about nuclear science and engineering at Science on Saturday at MIT’s Kresge Auditorium in Cambridge. (All ages)
December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20: Hands-on engineering and design at the MIT Museum in Cambridge. Free with Museum admission. (Ages 12+)
December 5: Weekly Girls Who Code club at the Easton branch of the Boston Public Library. (Ages 13-18)
December 5: Children, teens, and families are invited to join Danger!awesome and their learning bus for a day of hands-on, high-tech learning for anyone regardless of skill level at the Mattapan branch of the Boston Public Library.
December 5: Join scientists from Northeastern Section Younger Chemist Committee in all sorts of exciting science experiments and demonstrations at the Brighton branch of the Boston Public Library. (Ages 6-12)
December 7: Drop your kids off at Empow’s Learning in Minecraft Workshop during Lexington’s “Girl’s Night Out” event. Kids learn electrical engineering through redstone circuits, architecture, modding, and more. Cost: $30 (Grades 2-8)
December 7: Weekly Girls Who Code club at the Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. (Grades 6-12)

December 7-13: Participate in the annual Hour of Code, a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics. It’s free!

December 8: Sylvan Learning Center will host an Hour of Code event teaching Robotics at the Shrewsbury Public Library. (Grades 2-7)
December 8, 9, 10: Attend Hour of Code, an hour-long introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics at the Cary Memorial Library in Lexington. (Grades 4-8)
December 11, 12:Take advantage of two free days in the MIT Museum in Cambridge to explore a “pop-up” math art exhibit, participate in interactive workshops and enjoy presentations about the art and culture of math. Free and open to the public.
December 12, 26: Join in simple experiments, structure building and other fun creations and activities at the Main branch of the Worcester Public Library. (Ages 7-12)
December 12: Learn what real robots can do at Science on Saturday at Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington. (Ages 5-17)
December 17: Work with Scratch at the Newton Free Library. (Grades 3-6)
December 19: Participate in Little Bits electronic build-it projects at the Woburn Library. (Ages 6-10)
December 26: Stop by the children’s room and try your hand at creating art with patterns and color at the Thomas Crane Library in Quincy. (Ages 3+)
December 28, 29, 30: Attend a full-day NanoCamp at Empow Studios and learn about video game design, robotics, animation, and more in Lexington. Cost $95 (Grades 2-8)
December 28: Join ScienceTellers and learn about the science of fire and ice through the tale of “Dragons & Dreams” at the Newton Free Library. (K-5)
December 29: Join the littleBits DIY club and learn about electronics at the Newton Free Library. (Ages 9-12)
December 30: Create ‘Habitats’ for your Hexbug, little robotics creatures at the Newton Free Library. (Ages 5+)
